About:
My dissertation focus is on the archaeological presence of the Buffalo Soldiers at Yosemite National Park and looking at how agency, cultural land management practices, and race played out at the all-black town of Allensworth, California. Themes surrounding the formation of sacred community spaces are being explored through a community engagement project aspect with the African American Male Achievement Program within the Oakland United School District.
