My research explores the interplay between memory and imagination that animates visions of the future pursued by a community of land grantees in the Far East of Russia. Prior to joining Berkeley, I received a Master's degree in socio-cultural anthropology from the European University at St. Petersburg and a Bachelor's degree in linguistics and translation from Tomsk Polytechnic University.
