Milad Odabaei, a PhD Candidate in the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley, studies translation and Iranian politics in the modern period. He recently sat down with the Iranian photographer Parham Taghioff to discuss his collection, Choogh-Alef (“bookmark” in English), which served for Taghioff as a reflection on “the Ahmadinejad episode” of Iranian politics. This interview, “The Revolution Was a Wave that Overtook Me(link is external),” was recently published on the Gingko Library(link is external), a collaborative project to promote dialogue with the Middle East and North Africa.
