Professor James Holston wins book prize

Professor James Holston's book, Insurgent Citizenship: Disjunctions of Democracy and Modernity in Brazil (Princeton University Press, 2008) has won the 2009 Best Book on Brazil in English from the Brazil Section of the Latin American Studies Association.
