Understanding Lifeways and
Biocultural Diversity in Prehistoric Japan

Workshops
            In order to stimulate active interaction among project members and specialists in related fields, three workshops will be held, two in Berkeley and one in Japan.  Using results of our research as case studies for initial discussion, these workshops will address some of the key theoretical and methodological issues in prehistoric and early historic archaeology of Asia.
